Get to know this Wader feature! First of all, let's go through some important insights.
How do you keep track of your flight experience?
As traditionally in aviation, the logbook is one of the most valuable assets for a pilot. It’s the official document that regulatory agencies and employers use to analyze an aviator’s experience.
That’s why keeping each flight hour correctly registered is a great practice to not miss any good opportunity in your career.
However, consolidating all those flight registers in a single place while keeping them safe and up-to-date is not an easy task — especially for those pilots who started flying before the digital era!
Let's face it: digital logbooks show numerous advantages in comparison to the traditional ones.
Many experienced pilots have their flight hours recorded in several different formats: paper logbooks, spreadsheets, company letters… and, just to think about organizing all that, gives headaches to anyone.
And the lack of motivation to dig through old files summed to the day-by-day rush are some of the most common reasons for pilots to procrastinate in adopting digital solutions for their logbooks, leaving information gaps in their registers or, simply stop registering their flights at all.
So how you can solve that?
With that in mind, Wader has a feature called Previous Experience that allows you to start logging your flights on the APP today while skipping the hard work of migrating your old logbooks all at once — but still without leaving any flight time behind.
It works as when you start a new logbook
Simply access the More tab and select Previous Experience within the Logbook section.
Create a new entry for each aircraft type you have flown and fill out the total times. Then, when you decide to export your Wader logbook, you may select to include your previous experience so they are transcribe as your previous flight time to the first page of the logbook: quickly and easily!
And what's next?
Whenever you feel like migrating all your individual old logs to Wader, you can manually add them by accessing the + menu and creating new Flight or Simulator logs, or check our Import Your Hours section for available options to import your hours from different digital logbooks and airlines systems.
Wader, together reinventing the logbook!
